Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra

Andreas Papanikolaou was born in Thessaloniki. He has a degree and diploma of violin with disctinction from the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki (1999, 2001) as well as a Bachelor of Music from the Vancouver Academy of Music in Canada (2004). He is the founder of the non-profit company “Animus” and founding member of the “Thessaloniki String Orchestra” and the string quartet “Emilios Riadis”. He has become a principal of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Academy Symphony, the Vancouver Academy Strings and the Thessaloniki String Orchestra.

He holds the position first principal of second violins of the Thessaloniki State Sympohny Orchestra and teaches violin at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
