12 musicians of the GYSO travel to the city of Weimar to perform with students of the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar, under the direction of the leading violinist and sextet of the Staatskapelle Weimar, Gernot Süßmuth.

The performance in the Concert Hall of the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT, which celebrates 150 years since its foundation this year, includes Richard Strauss’ Metamorphoses for 23 solo strings and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 10.

“Syntagma Musicum Ensemble”, a collaboration between the GYSO, the EUphoria Youth Lab and the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar, is a continuation of the Summer String Academy that started in the summer of 2022 in Corfu, under the guidance of the GYSO’s Artistic Director Dionysis Grammenos and of cellist Alexey Stadler.
