The GYSO performs at the historic church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in London
The Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO) makes its debut performance at the historic church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in London, under the baton of its Founder & Artistic Director, Dionysis Grammenos, on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at 19:30.
Opening with Ralph Vaughan Williams’ captivating Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, the program also features Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, as well as Ludwing van Beethoven’s energetic Symphony No. 2. Alongside the orchestra, world-renowned violinist and First Concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Noah Bendix-Balgley, joins as soloist in Felix Mendelssohn’s lyrical Violin Concerto in E minor.
Following celebrated performances in major venues in Europe and the USA, this concert by the GYSO showcases the virtuosity and passion of its rising young Greek talents.
