The GYSO debuts at Carnegie Hall in New York

The Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO) makes its historic debut performance at the prestigious Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, at 7:30 PM.

Under the baton of its Founder & Artistic Director, Dionysis Grammenos, the GYSO presents a dazzling program, which includes <<rewind<< by British, Grammy-nominated composer Anna Clyne, who was named by Bachtrack as “one of the top ten most performed contemporary composers in the world”, Leonard Bernstein’s beloved Symphonic Dances, based on themes from his musical “West Side Story”, as well as a selection of Nikos Skalkottas’ Greek Dances, which premiered at Carnegie Hall exactly 70 years earlier, in November 1954, with Dimitri Mitropoulos and the New York Philharmonic.
