Athens State Orchestra
He was born in Corfu in 1976, where he had his first contact with music, playing at the Philharmonic Society of Corfu Band.
He has been Nikolaos Koratzinos’ student from 1991 to 1997 at the Athens Conservatory, where he graduated with high distinction.
In 2003 he attended lessons in the class of Carlos Tarcha, percussionist professor in Colony in Germany.
He has co-operated with the Athens State Orchestra from 1992 to 1997 as percussionist. In 1999 he worked at the Athens State Orchestra as a principal Timpanist and from 2004 he has the place of a permanent Principal Timpanist in that orchestra. Also he is member of the brass ensemble “Metallon”
In March 2013 he participated as soloist for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Athens State Orchestra with a concert for Snare drum – premiere-by T. Antoniou (premiere) “Just Drumming”. The work is dedicated to the soloist.
He teaches percussion at the Athens Conservatoire.
