Vassilis Saitis has been holding the position of principal cellist of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra since 2002.

From 2007 to 2010, she was the viola of the New Hellenic Quartet, with which she appeared in numerous concerts in Greece and abroad, marking an important discography.

He began studying violin at the Athens Conservatory with P. Despotidis.

He studied contrabass at the Orfeio Conservatory with Panagiotis Kontos and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Johannes Auersberg.

He has a degree and diploma of violin with disctinction from the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki (1999, 2001) as well as a Bachelor of Music from the Vancouver Academy of Music in Canada (2004).
